チャドとメリーアンの馴れ初め
Marianneと入力するのが面倒なので、アルフィーみたいですが今後はメリーアンで。
Bastards!の記事が2002年SkyReachCenterで行われたライブのレポだったので、ご存じない方の為にこのライブがどういうライブだったかと言うことで、チャドとメリーアンのラブラブツーショットインタビューを。
本文は長いので「ﾓｯﾄﾖﾑ」の後に入れました。
例によって誤訳があったらすみませんm(__)m
簡単にまとめると、ライブの前に楽屋でオープニングアクトの友達として来ていたメリーアンにチャドが目を付けた一目惚れ。
ライブ中のMCで「この中に未来のワイフがいる！」とお叫びになり、その後ハンディカメラで客席を映しながら観衆の真ん中に移動しギターソロを披露。
ステージに戻る途中で彼女を見つけたチャドは、セキュリティに彼女が未来のワイフだからショーが終わったら見つけるよう申し付けられました。
チャドのファンになってすぐにこのインタビューを見つけていきなりハートブレイクｗしたんですが、その後Live At Homeを見て仰天。
なにこれ、あのインタビューのまんまじゃん！
てっきりもっと小さい会場での出来事だと思っていた私。
こんなでかい、しかも地元での凱旋ライブでそんなことしちゃってたとは。
ライブの冒頭で、客席のあっちやこっちを指差しながら、昔オレもあそこやこっちやらでメタリカやモトリークルーを見てたよ。それが今はオレ達がここに立ってる。心からありがとう！という感じの事を言ってるのを聞いて感動してたんですが、感動を返せ！
･･･いやいや、それは多分本心からの言葉だと思うんですが、それに加えて未来のワイフと目をつけた女性が見てたならさらに気合も入るというものでしょう。
ちっ。
未来のワイフがいると言われて歓声を上げた女性ファンの純情を返せｗと悪態をつきたくなりました。
レポにあるライブはこんなライブだったということを念頭にBastards！をお読み下さい（笑）
インタビューの残りは、もうご馳走様！といいたくなります。

せっかくなのでインタビューの残りも。
ショーが終わった後、みんなで談笑してる間もメリーアンが気になるチャド。
しかし、メリーアンはチャドを見もしない。
チャドの頭の中には"Cold as Ice"の曲が流れる。
氷のプリンセスと出会ってしまったチャドは楽屋で恥ずかしいくらいに彼女を褒めちぎる。
（この辺の訳があってるか自信無し）
でも、その後彼女が実はチャドのおばあちゃんの髪を散髪していたことを知る。
お母さんもメリーアンのことをよく知っていたそうで。
知らなかったのはチャドだけ。
えー、まさに運命の出会いだったんですねー。
プロポーズは、ツアーの中でマイクがチャドを宝石店に連れて行って指輪を見立ててくれたので、そのうちの一つを選んで彼女に膝まづいてこう言ったそうです。
「残りの人生を僕と一緒に過ごして、僕をこの星一番の幸せ者にしてくれませんか？」

メキシコに建築中の家が1月1日に出来上がるのでそしたら結婚するって言ってるんですが、そのおうちはどうしちゃったんでしょう？
メリーアンの好感度がアップしたのは「グルーピーに迷惑してない？」という質問の答えで「ファンはいつもチャドがつかまえててくれるし、それも彼の仕事の（？）一部だし、そんなのたいした問題じゃないわ」みたいに答えてるところ。
さすがでございます。
あとは、2人でスパゲッティを作るのが好きだそうで。
別のインタビューでチャドが「料理はスタジオで音楽を作るのに似てる」と言ってたので、本当に好きなんでしょうね。
片付けは下手そうですが･･･。
ごっつい散らかしてメリーアンに怒られて、飛び散ったソースを付け合いっこなんかしてたりして。
どんな時にビッグになったと実感する？という質問には、仕事を探す心配をしなくてよくなった、車を売らなくてすむようになった。
今や目玉が飛び出るようなゴージャスなお車を数々所有されているチャドですが、最初の車はトヨタのセリカだったそうですよ。
私の記憶が確かなら、Hesherを作った頃に乗っておられたと思います。
いっぱい持ってる４輪バイクのうちのご自慢の一台はsuzuki。
きっとチャドは日本が嫌いなわけじゃないと私が思う理由の一つです。
（日本の企業だと言う事を知らない可能性も無い事も無い？）
マイクとのことを聞かれて。
ジキルとハイドのような関係。
ツアー中は兄弟喧嘩もするけれど、家に帰ったら仲良し兄弟に戻って車の事なんかを話したりしてる時が好き。
マイクも素敵な車を数々お持ちですし。
子供の頃、マイクの部屋にあったランボルギーニのポスターをくすねて自分の部屋に貼ったという話も聞いたので、車好き兄弟なんでうすね。
いつもポジティブでいたいので、レビューは読まないそうです。

CHAD KROEGER: The Nickelbacks singer and his fiancee open their home and chat about their upcoming nuptials.
Rock band Nickelback recently relesed thier fifth album all the right reasons and for the first time in the groups 9 year history their CD debuyed number one at the billboard Charts. if you think you dont know Nickelback, think again. You probably know their current single "photograph" which has been the most played song on pop radio since the release date. The band is in the midst of a press tour that has taken them from london to germany to five cities in Canada for 24 hours- and thats all before a 06 world tour. Enjoying a moment of peace between The Tonigt Show, and Jimmy Kimmel live lead singer Chad Kroeger and his fiancee Marianne spoke to OK and showed that his talents in song writing extend him to great stories. From a true tale of true love at first site as well as the virtual zoo that the couple has in their back yard. Chad doesnt skip a juicy Detail!
OK!: What do you like About Canada?
Chad: People talk about southern hospitality, and Canada has their own version of that. We live in vancouver, and there are a lot of places here where you dont have to lock your doors. Theres not a lot of murder or violence, but there is a lot of pleases and thank yous which i think have gotten lost in other places.
OK!: How did you two meet?
Chad: Marianne had a friend that was good friends with a bass player in the opening act at a Nickelback show. So she came to our show not even wanting to see Nickelback.
Marianne: Thats not true (laughs)
Chad: It was very bizzare. I never did this before, but that night i said into the mic. "I think my future wife is in the house tonight" Then i did this thing where i would walk through the crowd with a video camera and get out to the middle of the crowd and play a guitar solo. It was very cheesy rock n roll thing. On my way through the crowd i looked over and i saw this woman and my jaw dropped. I elbowed my security guard behind me and said "Right there, you see her right there? Thats my future wife. You have to find her after the show"
OK!: Wow!
Chad: After the show, we started pounding champagne and we're laughing talking about old times. I look over and lo and behold there she is. I walk over and Marianne wouldnt even look at me. Immediatly this soundtrack starts playing in my head that sounds an aful lot like [sings] "You're cold as ice!" I'm thinking, ive just met the ice princess we all went back into our dressing rooms and i spent the rest of the night laying it on thick, to the point of embarresment. But it turns out Marianne used to cut my grandmothers hair.
Ok!: No!
Chad: I had no idea that this was happening. And my mother knew Marianne very well.
OK!: Really?
Marianne: And i didnt know Chad, but i was his grandmothers hairdresser.
OK!: Chad how did you propose?
Chad: Im a romantic. I really am as much as she will probably deny that now. [laughs]
Marianne: no im liking this. [laughs]
Chad: Marianne was out on the road with us. I honestly knew from the day that i met her that she was the one. My brother, who plays bass in the band, took me to a jewelry store, because he happens to also be a gemologist (!?!?) I picked up the ring and went back into my tour bus. (we travel seperatly because some of the boys have babies and im not into changing diapars at 6:30 in the morning). It's really funny that you can get in front of thousands of people and sing your heart out and not sweat, but i was nervous as hell and i think my voice cracked about 3 times. I was like "oh my god! What the hell is wrong with me?" So i took a deep breath and got down on one knee. Her eyes lit up and im like "Would you make me the happiest man on the planet and spend the rest of your life with me?"
OK!: Awwww!
Chad: She actually left me down there for a long time; it seemed like an eternity. She was smiling and laughing and looking at me. and one part of me expected her to be like "Thats so sweet, but i just dont think we are ready yet" [laughs, but she said "yes!"
OK!: But your not married yet?
Chad: No we are still engaged. I want to have enough time off the road to work with Marianne on the wedding instead of being on the road aand her doing all of the work and me flying into town, putting on a tux, running down the isle, saying "i do", giving her a kiss, putting a ring on her finger, and running out the door to the airport.
OK!: Have you started planning? Do you know where you want the wedding to be?
Chad: We're thinking we might do it in Victoria, BC. Victoria is beautiful and there is a castle there that we've been looking at. But we're also building a home right now in Mexico that will be done Jan 1. Its near Cabo san Lucas and its beautiful. We'll have to wait until thats done to see.
OK!: Marianne, do you ever get bothered by any of the groupies?
Marianne: Chad gets fans all the time. It's part of everythinng you know? I dont think its a concern.
OK!: Whats your fav. Thing to do together?
Chad: I think its got to be cooking in the kitchen.
OK!: What do you like to cook?
Marianne: Spaghetti!
Chad: There are a few dishes we like to do, but we have a lot of fun together when we are making spaghetti together because we are constantly tasting the sauce and throwing everything into the pot. Its a lot of fun. We will usually do spaghetti and a movie in the house. Thats my favorite thing to do.
OK!: Chad, when did u relize that you made it big?
Chad: When i relized that i wasnt worried about getting a job, and if it ever ended, that i woudlnt have to go sell cars or anything.
OK!: How do u like being in a band with your brother?
Chad: Its really a Dr. Jekyll, Mr Hyde type of relationship, because when we are on the road we do get into brotherly type arguments. But i love when we go home and just turn into brothers who talk about cars and stuff.
OK!: Bands hate to be pigenonholed, but how would you classify Nickelback?
Chad: We are a straight up rock band.
OK!: How did you come up with the name?
Chad: My brother worked at starbucks and he'd be serving coffees for 2.95 or 3.95 and saying "heres your nickel back" alll day long. "so", he suggested "how about nickelback?
OK!: Do you read your reviews?
Chad: No. I try to stay positive. Were kind of a punching bag band and were not in some delusional state that everyone loves us. But at the end of the day, we get on stage every night and play rock and roll. And if you gotta have a jobb, this is a pretty good one to have.

わぁぉっっ～～～！！裸にエプロンの事ばかり考えて一日終えたら、またまたハードなインタビューで・・・ゴチです。。なんでメキシコなん？？ひよっとして・・大好きな あのビールの原産国だから？？まさか～～^^; LIVE AT HOMEの日本語訳では「不思議な気持ちだな～、この中にオレの未来の花嫁がいるなんて・・・」とおっしゃってました。。この人、こんな顔（すみません，深い意味はありません！）してて こんなセリフ言うんや～と絶句した覚えがありますわ。。。何で読んだのか忘れたのですが、LIVE会場では、つきあって欲しいと伝えたけど、彼女は離婚調停中で待って下さいと断られたとか・・・？？真相はいかに！！暴力事件の件も、何かで見たんだけど ストリップバーで、客を殴って警察沙汰になったとか・・・？？？頑張れ～～お兄ちゃん！！
チャドが料理してる図がイマイチ浮かびませんね～、、クリブスで出てきたチャドのキッチンにはコンロがなくて、大きな鉄板しかなかった 強烈な印象があります~~

メキシコはオフの時もちょこっと行ったりしてるみたいですね。
ビーチリゾートが好きみたいなことを言ってた記憶があります。
見た目のイメージと違いすぎますよね(^^;;
離婚の話は私もどこかで見たんですが、長年のファンの人がそんな事実は無いって断言しておられたので、プレイボーイのインタビューを読み返してみました。
離婚の事は載ってなかった（と思う）のですが、あのライブの後、2週間電話と花束攻撃ですって。
そのインタビューの中で、自分はちょっと暴力的なことが好きだってのも言ってましたね。
その割には暴力沙汰はその1件だけですよね。
警察沙汰もあとは飲酒運転だけだし。
プレイボーイのインタビュー、かなりダーティな部分もありますが、凄く面白いです。
chadyさんは既に読まれてるでしょうか。
雑誌のスキャンしかないのでマウスオーバー辞書が使えなくて読むのに非常に時間がかかりますが、またそのうちアップしますね。
さそり座でトラ年生まれだとか、IQが130だとか（ホントか？）。
誰にトラ年のことを聞いたんでしょうね。
あのキッチン、私も始めて見たときはここでホンマに料理できんの？
上乗って踊ってんのちゃうん？って思いました。
寝室よりキッチンのほうがセクシーだわと（笑）
